In the summer of 2025, The Learning Bar will share the results of the survey to the education community with the goal of:

- Building a movement to build stronger, healthier schools for everyone.
We encourage you to share this invitation with your colleagues and professional network. Each time someone completes the survey and mentions that you referred them, your name will be added to the draw. The more you share, the greater your chances of winning!
We want to hear from:
- Teachers: Classroom educators at all grade levels who engage with students daily.
- Administrators: Principals and vice-principals shaping school operations and strategy.
- Support Staff: Educational assistants, librarians, office administrators, custodians, bus drivers, and other essential team members.
- Professional Staff: Guidance counselors, psychologists, speech therapists, and more.
If you work in a Canadian school—public, Catholic, private, charter, or virtual—we want to hear from you. Whether you’re new to your role or nearing retirement, full-time or part-time, your insights are invaluable.
- The survey will be open for participation anytime between February 10 – March 3.

01 Who is conducting the study?
This survey is conducted by The Learning Bar, an organization dedicated to supporting schools and educators in fostering positive learning and working environments. We specialize in research-driven insights that help schools enhance staff well-being, engagement, and overall school climate. Your voice is essential in shaping meaningful improvements, and we appreciate your time and input.
02 What is the objective of this survey?
The survey aims to collect feedback from school staff across Canada to better understand workplace experiences, challenges, and successes. The goal is to provide insights that will help to improve educational environments and support staff well-being.
03 What topics does the survey cover?
The survey explores key aspects of the staff experience, including workplace well-being, job satisfaction, and school climate. It examines factors like job control, workload, work-life balance, role clarity, recognition, sense of belonging, and overall support. It also assesses staff perceptions of health, professional fulfillment, and effectiveness in their roles. Additionally, the survey covers school environment factors such as collaboration, communication, and inclusivity, as well as safety-related topics like bullying and protective measures. Demographic insights, including employment status and job position, help identify trends while maintaining confidentiality.
04 What kind of questions will I be asked?
You’ll be asked about your experiences in the workplace, including well-being, engagement, and school culture. There will also be opportunities to share what’s working well and suggest areas for improvement.
05 How long does the survey take to complete?
The survey is designed to be concise and focused, taking approximately 10–15 minutes to complete on average.
Confidentiality and Data Usage
06 Is the survey truly confidential?
Yes, the survey is completely confidential. While we will ask for your email address to contact you if you win the Amazon gift card draw, your email will be purged once the survey is closed, and all winners are contacted. Your survey responses will be combined with all other responses and reported as part of our national study results.

07 Can my employer see my individual responses?
No. Employers will not have access to individual responses. The survey is conducted by an independent organization, and data is reported solely at the group level.
08 How will my responses be used?
Your responses will be combined with all other respondents and analyzed to identify trends and insights. These findings will inform educational policies and thought leadership materials, such as reports and webinars, to enhance school environments and support staff well-being.
09 Will I see the results of the survey?
While individual reports are not part of this survey, consolidated findings and insights will be shared publicly through infographics, blog posts, and webinars.
Eligibility and Participation
10 Can I participate if I’m not directly involved in teaching?
Yes, the survey is open to all school staff, including teachers, administrators, support staff, and specialists / professional staff. Your perspective is valuable in understanding and improving the education environment.
11 Can I complete the survey on my phone or tablet?
Yes, the survey is mobile-friendly and can be completed on any device with internet access.
12 Can I withdraw from the survey after starting?
Yes, participation is voluntary. You can exit the survey at any time without penalty. Please note that responses submitted prior to exiting will remain part of the data set. While we cannot remove individual responses, all data is treated with strict confidentiality, and no identifying information will be shared in any reporting.
13 Can I share this invitation with my colleagues?
Yes! We want to hear from as many people as possible so please feel free to share the link to the survey with anyone who you feel would want to lend their voice.
14 Are there any incentives for participating?
Yes! Each day the survey is open, one participant who completes the survey will be randomly selected to win a $100 Amazon gift card. Plus, if you refer colleagues or members of your professional network, and they mention your name when completing the survey, you’ll earn additional entries into the draw. The more you share, the better your chances of winning!

To thank you for participating, The Learning Bar is offering a daily $100 Amazon gift card draw for the duration of the survey. Below, you’ll find details on how the draw works and the terms ensuring fairness and transparency.
15 How Does the Draw Work?
Each day the survey is open, one participant will be randomly selected to win a $100 Amazon gift card. If you refer a colleague and they mention your name when completing the survey, you will receive an additional entry into the draw. Winners will be contacted by email within 15 business days and must correctly answer a skill-testing question to claim their prize. There is no cost to enter, and participation in the survey is not required to be eligible.
16 Can I Enter the Draw Without Completing the Survey?
Yes! If you prefer not to complete the survey, you can enter by submitting a handwritten entry including your full name, mailing address, phone number, and a statement confirming that you work in a Canadian school. Send your entry to:

17 How Is the Winner Selected?
Winners are chosen randomly from all eligible entries each day. To claim the prize, winners must correctly answer a skill-testing question, as required by Canadian law. If a winner does not respond within 10 days, a new winner will be selected.
18 How Is My Personal Information Protected?
Providing an email address for the draw is optional and is not linked to survey responses. Email addresses will be used only for prize notification and will be permanently deleted once all winners have been contacted. The Learning Bar does not sell, share, or use personal information for any other purpose.
19 Who Is Eligible to Participate in the Draw?
The draw is open to individuals who work in a Canadian school (public, Catholic, private, charter, or virtual) and are 18 years or older. Employees of The Learning Bar and their immediate family members are not eligible. Due to additional contest regulations, residents of Quebec are not eligible to participate in the draw but are still welcome to complete the survey.
