Sheryl Boswell, Executive Director and Founder of Youth Mental Health Canada

Sheryl Boswell is the Executive Director and Founder of Youth Mental Health Canada, a registered non-profit organization, and an educator with experience across elementary, secondary, post-secondary, and adult education. Her presentations, workshops, and courses reflect a deep integration of expertise in education, mental health and wellness, human rights and equity, and disability awareness and support.

Having written five mental wellness journal workbooks, five booklets/printables, and two resources addressing school attendance challenges, Sheryl offers practical tools for educators and families. Her guidebook on supporting students with school phobia, avoidance, and chronic absenteeism, alongside a student workbook for upstream prevention, demonstrates her commitment to actionable, inclusive solutions.

A recognized voice in the field, Sheryl is a member of the International Association of Youth Mental Health, the International Network for School Attendance, and the International Association for Suicide Prevention, among other organizations dedicated to youth mental health, suicide prevention, and school attendance.
