At The Learning Bar we are led and inspired by our vision of “giving all children the opportunity to thrive”. The health and well-being of all children, our partners in education, and The Learning Bar’s community continue to be our top priority. Due to the recent progression of COVID-19, I wanted to reach out to let you know how our team at The Learning Bar is here to help.
Creating a better future
Our approach is to challenge the status quo of education. Our surveys, evaluations, interventions and literacy program are part of a unique assessment framework that focuses on factors that impact all parts of child’s well-being and learning outcomes. This evaluation framework is called Educational Prosperity.
Transforming assessment and intervention
Educational Prosperity explicitly links assessment to policy and practice. It gives parents and other caregivers, health-care workers, teachers, and administrators an overarching approach to positively transform children’s lives.
The Early Years Evaluation (EYE), Confident Learners and the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) survey are all part of the evaluation framework that can be used to assess children’s development at different stages of the life-course, from conception to adolescence.

Measure, assess, act
The solutions focus on the two most critical transitions for successful learning outcomes; the successful transition to school and the development of early literacy skills, alongside the continuous monitoring of these throughout a child’s schooling. Together these solutions provide a structured assessment, evaluation and intervention model to give all children to thrive.
The Early Years Evaluation provides leading indicators of children’s early development skills. It consists of two assessments that help educators monitor the overall development of their children and ensure a successful transition to school. Results of the evaluation link directly to intervention activities for teachers and caregivers.
Confident Learners is a literacy program aimed at ensuring all students are fluent readers by the end of Grade 3. The program builds capacity for teachers, informs instruction, applies an evidence-based framework and aligns learning with teaching activities.
The Tell Them From Me survey captures the voice from students, teachers and caregivers to measure, assess and report insights on student engagement, well-being, school climate, and other factors known to affect learning outcomes.
